Shame:  A feeling of pain, humiliation, and guilt that occurs when one knows that they or someone else has sinned or been dishonourable or immoral.

Unashamed:  Freedom from the feeling of pain, humiliation, and guilt because one is not ashamed, embarrassed or conscious of moral guilt or sin.

One of the most amazing gifts that await us in Heaven is that all sin will be banished forever.  We will be completely freed from sin – not one cell or piece of our genetics will be inhabited by sin which we are born with.  We will be like Adam and Eve when they were in the garden before they sinned.  We will be one hundred percent unashamed.

Sin is so deceptive.  It can disguise itself so as to appear as something so good for us.  It can look good, taste good and feel good; however, once sin is consumed it fastens its entangling claws onto us and begins the work Satan intended sin to do – the work of removing any of God’s image that is in our lives and to destroy us and eternally separate us from God.

“… Your adversary, the devil, prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour.” (1 Peter 5:8)

The apostle Paul had an earnest expectation and hope, “… that I will not be put to shame in anything, but that with all boldness, Christ will even now, as always, be exalted in my body, whether by life or by death.” (Philippians 1:20)

My desire, earnest expectation and hope is to be a woman of God that lives a life where Christ is exalted in all areas of my life.  I ask the Holy Spirit to shine into every corner and crevice of my heart and show me any sin.  I want a pure heart.  I want to have the entangling claws of sin released from my heart allowing me to walk unashamed while here on earth so that with all boldness Christ will be exalted in my life.

Do you desire to be a woman of God that pursues a life of loving God more than anything else in the world?  Do you have areas of your life that cause you to be ashamed?  Are there hidden thoughts, attitudes, and sins that consume you and cause you to not be as bold for Christ as He wants?  Is there sin in your life that God is asking you to repent of and turn from so that He can use your life to exalt Him on earth?  Do you want to be free and unashamed?

I challenge you to ask the Holy Spirit to shine His light in your heart and to show you any sins in your life.  Go on an adventure with the Holy Spirit and discover the areas of your life that cause you to hang your head in shame.   Get rid of the pain of shame.  Humble yourself before God, ask His forgiveness and turn from your sin to a life of being an unashamed woman – a bold adventuresome life where you love God more than anything else in the world and the result is a surrendered life where God is exalted.

“For I am confident of this very thing, that He who began a good work in you will perfect it until the day of Jesus Christ.” (Philippians 1:6)
